The Step show start time will be begin Friday, May 25, 2018 at 7:00p.m.

Registration fee - Early registration of $50.00 should be turned in no later than March 31, 2018. Registration will be $75 beginning April 1, 2018. Last day to register will be May 1, 2018.

The entry fee is Non-Refundable.  Entry fee include a drink for each team member.

Prizes will be awarded as follows: 1st Place: Trophy/Monetary Award ($250) 2nd Place: Trophy 3rd Place: Trophy

Music must be CLEAN and prepared by performance time. If a team member is found to be grossly unsportsmanlike causing a disruption to the show, the team will be disqualified. Any profanity, nudity, or unnecessary disrespect sown to anyone or any organization, on or off stage, will result in disqualification.

Teams are strongly encouraged to include both a traditional and contemporary step in the show and include information about the purpose of their respective organizations.

No pyrotechnics may be used in your show.

Have all music and video cued on one CD/flash drive

Anyone caught trying to sneak people, alcohol, drugs, or other contraband into the show will have their team forfeited from the competition.

The use (s) of screens, floor shows, fog machines, fire or fireworks, or special lighting is not allowed for the performances.

Baby oil, water, other liquids, and food will NOT be permitted on stage.

All performers are to arrive at performance venue no later than three (4:00) pm on the date of the show.

The order of the acts will be selected by the way of a drawing of numbers at this time.

TIME LIMIT: The step team will have a total of 10 minutes to perform; this includes set-up. The beginning of the show is deemed as the first movement, word, or song from the performing team. At the moment in which the first action is displayed the clock will start. Teams that exceed the allotted time will be penalized 5 points for every 30 seconds over time.

Introduction 1-5 or 5%

Transitions 1-5 or 5%

Audience Response 1-5 or 5 %

Enthusiasm/Energy 1-10 or 10%

Showmanship – Overall manner of presenting routine to the audience 1-10 or 10%

Synchronizations – Carrying out precise rhythmic syncopation of beats 1-15 or 15 %

Complexity of difficulty of steps 1-15 or 15%

Creativity and Originality 1-15 or 15%

Overall Performance 1-20 or 20%

The maximum is 100 points or 100%

§ Each category has a point total and certain percentage.

§ There are nine categories with point totals having a certain weighted % depending on its importance to a quality show.

§ The total combined will equal your total score (x/100).

§ Groups will be judged according to performance of groups in respective category.

§ Ten (10) points will be deducted for ridicule of other organizations or use of obscene language/gestures.
